Recent world events and a cold winter have made spending time in my studio difficult. Today I went back to the drawing board after a disappointing kiln firing and will take a more scientific approach. It's always hard to balance a creative burst when working with the magic and science of firing clay and glaze.
Here are some works in progress, some work that didn't go to plan, a thorough run of test tiles for accurate colours and glaze fit and finish.
There is always so much to learn and reflect on. When things don't go to plan often there are still surprises and outcomes for new ideas.
